The Lord's Supper is celebrated in every Sunday worship service (the Divine Service) at Good Shepherd. We believe that the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ are truly present and received with the bread and wine in the Holy Supper (Mt. 26:26-28). Those who repent of their sins and who trust in Christ's words receive forgiveness when they eat His body and drink His blood in the Sacrament. But those who eat His body and drink His blood without such repentance and faith bring God's judgement upon themselves (1 Cor. 11:27-29). Furthermore, Holy Scripture teaches that those who partake of the Sacrament together are to be united in what they believe (Acts 2:42, 1 Cor. 10:17, 1 Cor. 11:26, Rom. 16:17). Visitors who are in good standing as communicant members of a sister LCMS congregation are invited to commune with us. We respectfully ask that they speak to the pastor in advance.
